It's hard to find a great physical therapist, but Shaden is the real deal. She has helped me tremendously and my hip pain has gone away. I know most of the physical therapy clinics in Huntington NY. In my humble opinion, Universus PT is the best for back pain. That is my experience. I recommend Universus to my friends and family because of my positive experience with them. The staff is very friendly, which oddly enough makes a huge difference compared to some of the other Huntington physical therapy places I’ve visited.

I was recovering from a car accident and visited Universus physical therapy for help with my back pain. It can be frustrating at times when the simplest of motions bring such crazy pain, but Universus really understood this and worked with me. I have much less pain after several sessions with them. The physical therapists really understand how to help strengthen the muscles of injured areas which provide support to the healthy recovery. Age definitely plays a role in recovery, but Universus Physical therapy taught me that simple stretching and the correct focused exercises can really help with day to day pains. We focused on shoulder physical therapy as that was my surgery area. Very happy with this boutique physical therapy business! Shaden you and your team are amazing. Universus Physical Therapy is first physical therapy I have ever experienced, and the bar is now set high! If you’re in Huntington, Commack, or anywhere nearby – there’s no need to visit any other Physical Therapy location. I was referred to them by my chiropractor, and they were able to help identify the root of the problem, not just focus on the symptoms. My back pain has been slowly worsening over the years but it has recently gotten to be debilitating. Finally after years of taking medication, and putting a bandaid on the problem waiting for pain to improve or go away on its own, I decided to give physical therapy a try. For the first time in years I am feeling better and I have Universus Physical Therapy to thank!

Universus is by far the best physical therapy experience I've ever had. There is no shortage of Huntington NY physical therapy clinics, but there is a shortage of QUALITY physical therapy establishments. I feel lucky to have found this gem. I've learned several new physical therapy exercises from Universus that work great for my neck stiffness and shoulder pain.

Great experience! My back was completely immobile when I first started going to Chris. Not only did he get my back unlocked, he zoned in on why it locked up in the first place and worked with me each session to strengthen my weak glutes and hamstrings. I'm now completely pain-free, mobile and getting stronger each day based on the exercises Chris shared with me and has encouraged me to keep doing. Thanks Chris!

I started pt at Universus a few months ago when my neurologist prescribed it due to lower back issues. I love going there twice a week. Each member of the staff is excellent. I am so motivated to do more exercise at home and continue the work that the therapists do when I am there. My back is so much better but when it is acting up I know just what to do to help myself thanks to their expertise.

Family friendly PT office. Receptionist is well versed in her job. Therapists work hard to get you back to where you should be in R.O.M. and flexibility. Questions answered with enough detail to satisfy most inquiries and if you need more information - just ask. They aim to make your visit as productive as they can.

The first thing one notices when entering Universus Physical Therapy is the upbeat atmosphere. Jenn and Dana on the frontline make up the administrative component. They handle scheduling, billing and things that keep the office running smooth. They’re friendly, enthusiastic and they make it all happen - they’re great. The waiting area is comfortable and pleasant - I mention the “waiting area” but I hardly ever wait. That’s because the Practice runs a punctual operation which works great for me. They respect my time and I respect theirs - it allows me to efficiently plan my day. If this is your first Physical Therapy experience, lucky you... you picked the right place. Thanks to an action-packed lifestyle and a long list of injuries over the years, I’m no stranger to Physical Therapy Centers - Universus is different than the rest. Everyone listens and hears you here. Most PT centers (that I’ve been to in the past) break the sessions into supervised and unsupervised time. Half the time may be one-to-one with an actual Physical Therapist and the remaining half you might be with a PT Tech (for heat/ice, etc.) or merely left alone, unsupported, to do the prescribed exercises. The Universus approach is strictly one-to-one, you’re with a Therapist the entire appointment. Tiffany is a skilled and highly trained Physical Therapist. She’s motivating and my sessions are productive. Afterwards I may be a little sore, but it’s a “good sore” and temporary only. But after all, it’s Physical Therapy not a leisure Spa - it means the treatment is working and that I’m getting what I came for. I had knee pain for many months with frequent and excruciating flair ups. Since working with Tiffany my pain has diminished to a manageable level allowing me to resume most of my fitness activities (and has also kept me out of the Operating Room). Shaden Ghattas is another terrific Physical Therapist (also the Owner). There’s a uniqueness to this Practice. It exudes positive vibes/energy and patient wellbeing. Shaden Ghattas has been at this location for many years (safe & convenient parking). Covid19 safety measures are in place to the best extent possible. Can’t say enough about the staff. Universus PT is a totally professional rehab facility. I highly recommend..

Dr. Ghattas is highly knowledgeable and has a hands on/customized approach to fit each individuals needs. While other physical therapist Practices seem to have a “mill like” approach, Universis spends quality time with their patient for the duration of the session. Extremely committed and organized staff creates for a wonderful experience every time. I highly suggest that you or a family member go to this physical therapy practice next time you need to heal up quickly.

If I could give this Horrible money hungry spot a 0 star I would. The service is awful . I have not one not 2 but 3 insurances. They still wanted to push me to pay Out of pocket. Then the owner Shaden is disrespectful and not professional. DO NOT give them your email address !! they will spam it with useless information trying to get you back there, when you clearly said NOO.

This PT provider is unlike any other I have used. The physical therapists all have doctorates in PT, and as a patient you receive total customized individual attention from one of the therapists. There are no assistants. Each therapist is thoroughly knowledgeable, is caring, is focused completely on what you need to be better. And each is a nice person, which isn't always the case with such professionals. There are many PT providers in my neighborhood, and at my age I've been to a number of them over the years. I'll definitely stick with Universus!

THANK YOU UNIVERSUS!I had the good fortune to be referred Universus by my pain Doctor. I have disk degeneration in my neck and have been in continuous pain for 13 years.I have been to surgeons and pain doctors who prescribed drugs and injections which sometimes eliminated the symptoms but did nothing to address the causes of my pain. I was referred to "Physical Therapy Mills" which gave me rote exercises to do and did manipulations that increased my inflammation and pain. The same with chiropractic .Dr Gahttas and her associate Dr.Perfetti correctly diagnosed my problem as primarily a postural one and addressed the specific muscles that needed to be first relaxed with massage and then strengthened with specific exercises in the office and at home. Each patient is given individual attention. My pain has been reduced to the point where I rarely take medication . I feel like I have been let out of prison. My wife also had very positive experiences with Universus in dealing with her hip pain.

I hiighly recommend UNIVERSUS PHYSICAL THERAPY. Before doing any physical therapy they do a full analysis of the injury that needs to be treated. The physical therapy is one on one which means your specific needs are addressed.. You are also provided with an e-mail video of the exercises you should do at home.

Shaden is a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate person. The 45 minutes one on one sessions are invaluable. I’ve been going to her for 3 years. I had spine fractures due to osteoporosis and Shaden was able to work with me to increase my strength and mobility which has helped me tremendously in preventing other fractures. I totally trust her expertise.
