John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release
We believe that controlling your pain is paramount. We offer forms of traditional physical therapy combined with John F. Barnes’ method of Myofascial Release. Known as “The Missing Link in Traditional Therapies,” John Barnes’ form of Myofascial Release is both extremely effective for pain resolution and gentle.
But how does it work?
Through hands-on techniques and exercises that aim to stretch the body’s muscles and connective tissue. Stretching the tissue to its barrier and holding for a sustained period (Usually between 2-5 minutes.) After this sustained amount of time deep and long-lasting releases occur. This often causes the crushing pressure on your back or neck (for example) to dissipate. It’s estimated that the torque forces from fascial restrictions can reach up to 2,000 lbs per square inch, so it’s no surprise that people come out of it feeling so great!
We’ve had a lot of success helping people with chronic pain that has not responded to other approaches, especially when we integrate this style of approach in their care.
