Telehealth in Huntington
You don't have to be in the building to get real, one-on-one care. Meet face-to-face with your therapist from wherever you are, and keep your program moving forward.
What is telehealth physical therapy?
Telehealth is a live, face-to-face visit with your physical therapist over video. Not a library of pre-recorded exercises, not an app guessing at your form. You log in, your therapist sees you move in real time, and the session runs the way a real appointment should, just through a screen instead of across a treatment table. It exists for the moments when getting to the clinic isn't realistic: a work schedule that won't bend, no ride available, a body that isn't up for the trip that day. It's also useful for something else entirely, staying sharp between your in-person visits so the days in between don't turn into dead time where your program quietly stalls.
Telehealth is not a replacement for hands-on care. When your case calls for manual therapy or a technique that needs actual hands on you, that happens in the clinic, not on a screen, and we will tell you plainly when that's the case. What telehealth does is fill the space around that care, correcting your exercises, answering your questions, and adjusting your home program so your progress doesn't wait on your next available time slot. Same therapist, same plan, just a different way of showing up.
Who it's for.
Telehealth is not for every case, but it is a genuinely good fit for more people than you would think. These are the people who use it most.
Can't get to the clinic right now
A work schedule that won't bend, no ride available, or a body that isn't up for the trip. Telehealth puts your session on the screen in front of you instead of asking you to find a way in.
Managing limited mobility
Recovering from a recent procedure or dealing with a flare that makes the trip itself the hardest part of your day. You still get real, live time with your therapist, just from your own home.
Staying on track between visits
You have a home program and a few questions before your next appointment. A quick video check-in keeps you accountable and catches small issues before they turn into setbacks.
What to expect in a session.
A telehealth visit runs on the same structure as an in-person one, just through your screen. Here is how it goes from login to logoff.
Log in and connect
A few minutes before your visit, you join a private video link from your phone, tablet, or computer. Your therapist is right there on screen, ready to pick up exactly where your last session left off.
Live, guided session
Your therapist watches you move in real time, corrects your form, and walks you through exercises just as they would in the clinic. Questions get answered on the spot, not left for your next visit.
Updated plan before you log off
Based on how you moved that day, your home program gets adjusted right then and there. You leave with a clear next step, the same as any in-person appointment.
You don't need special equipment. Just a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, a stable connection, and a bit of open space at home where you can move freely.
