Get Your Body Back After Baby
With Pelvic Health Experts, Dr. Shaden Ghattas, PT and Dr. Jennifer Helft, PT
The postpartum period is a beautiful rollercoaster. Often, we are unsure which way is up and which is down. No matter what you may be feeling, finding ways to begin to recover your body can help you feel better physically, emotionally and will provide a sense of confidence as you continue to navigate motherhood! But we may ask ourselves: how do we do this correctly? Not all exercise is created equal when it comes to healing after pregnancy and it can be overwhelming figuring out where to begin. A well-rounded exercise program is dependent on many factors and requires a deep look into your goals, abilities, and health.
Come learn the most effective exercises you can do to get yourself feeling better in a safe way and while avoiding the very common issues we see as pelvic floor physical therapists.
You will learn:
- How to avoid potential dysfunction postpartum including sciatica, lower back pain, hip pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, organ prolapse and diastasis recti
- Safe and effective exercises and stretches to improve strength and mobility
- Warning signs for pain or dysfunction during exercise and return to movement
- How to lift and handle your baby as he/she grows
- 7 Most Common Mistakes People Make Post-baby

“I cannot say enough positive things about Universus Physical Therapy! I came to Universus because I was looking for an alternative approach to the traditional physical therapy I have received over the years for a recurring injury. The therapists provide one-on-one care. Shaden, Carly, and Jen not only treated my injury, but have been working on its root causes. As a result, I feel better than I have in years! My aches and pains are gone, and I feel more connected to my body. I have recently started acupuncture with Jason, which has further improved my well being. Thanks to Sophia, scheduling appointments is a breeze! If you are new to physical therapy or are tired of the same old treatments, visit Universus. You will not be disappointed!”
“This place is special and so is everyone who works here. I can’t recommend them enough!”
